Changes in the Capstone Program
We want to share a transition within the Study and Stay™ – Nova Scotia Capstone Program. Our dedicated coordinator, Fran, has moved into an exciting new role with NSCC but will continue to support the program part-time to ensure a smooth transition. We’re incredibly grateful for her contributions and wish her all the best in this next chapter!
As we look ahead, we’re searching for a Retention Coordinator to take on this important role. We’re looking for someone passionate about supporting international students, coordinating impactful programming, and building strong connections with students, mentors, and employers. The Study and Stay™ Sydney Networking Event is just around the corner! SNS Halifax Networking Event
As part of the BEST Conference, the Study and Stay Halifax Networking Event brought together current and past Study and Stay students, mentors, and industry professionals for an evening of meaningful connections and shared experiences. This gathering provided a space for alumni to reconnect, students to expand their networks, and mentors to offer guidance and support. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended—your engagement and commitment to fostering a strong, supportive community continue to make a difference in the success of international students in Nova Scotia!

Our March Member of the Month is Alida Campbell, the Chair of the BEST Conference Committee and Manager of the National Connector Program at the Halifax Partnership. Alida is a passionate and dedicated leader, playing a pivotal role in fostering professional connections and driving impactful initiatives that support workforce integration and economic growth in Nova Scotia.
As Chair of the BEST Conference Committee, Alida has been instrumental in shaping an event that empowers and inspires international students and newcomers by providing them with the tools, knowledge, and networks they need to thrive.
We are incredibly grateful for Alida’s dedication and the lasting impact she has on the international student and newcomer communities. Her leadership and vision continue to strengthen the fabric of our province’s workforce and professional networks.Â
